Introduction to Spanish Law for foreiGn lawyers
A course designed to adapt our International Lawyers to the Spanish Legal System. There are two different parts in this course, public and private law. In addition the sudents have the opportunity to observe the workings of the legal institutions of Spain and to visit some of them. The course will be conducted entirely in Spanish.

The programme begins with an examination of the major subject areas of Spanish law from a comparative standpoint and with emphasis on understanding these subjects from an international perspective.
This period will also introduce students to transnational lawyering and to the area of business administration, in preparation for subsequent study of more complex financial issues. Subjects that appear in Spanish will be taught in that language.

This period comprises a more detailed consideration of issues of Spanish law, with a focus on European Union law, its constitutional foundations, the law of the internal market and the relationship of the EU to other states, Mercosur and the World Trade Organization. The business area rounds out this period by further developing the management skills of students and providing them with tools to more effectively advise their future clients. The second period also includes a module on methods and techniques of negotiation.

This period is distinguished by its emphasis on European and international subjects, with a particular focus on those making up the new lex mercatoria. Many of these courses are taught in English and offer a global vision of the interrelation between law, economics and politics.
Elective courses are also offered, in which students can choose among a variety of specialised subjects dealing with cutting-edge legal issues in the world of international business.
During this period of specialised study, both morning and evening classes may be scheduled, depending on the electives chosen by each student.
